Feeding Plan
Broiler Starter Feeds Grofast
To be fed ad lib from day 1 to day 21: The birds will consume up to 1100 grams.
Starter CrumbsPelletizing ensures maximum feed intake in a shorter period of time. The reduced time eating is spend resting, making more energy available for weight gain.
Even consumption of all nutrients.
Minimum feed wastage.
Starter MashAn alternative to Broiler Starter Crumbs
Feed when fast growth is not a priority.
To slow down the growth rate when necessary.
Broiler Finisher Feeds Grofast
Feed ad lib from day 22 until reaching the required market weight
By week 6, the birds will have consumed 2.4 kg of Broiler Finisher to attain 1.8 kg live weight.
Transitioning from Starter to Finisher must be gradual slowly increasing the Finisher feed and decreasing the Starter feed.
Finisher PelletsPelletizing ensures maximum feed intake in a shorter period of time. The reduced time eating is spend resting, making more energy available for weight gain.
Even consumption of all nutrients
Minimum feed wastage.
Finisher Mash
An alternative to Broiler Finisher Pellets.

To slow down the growth rate when needed.
Management
In addition to providing quality feeds to your livestock, good management is equally critical in achieving the optimum performance for your farm. our vast experience has helped us develop the following guidelines on basic management to improve the performance of your farm.
Starter Phase
Open sided houses in an east west axis are more suitable to ensure adequate natural air flow.
Brooder house should be cleaned and disinfected 1-2 weeks prior to the arrival of the chicks (if used before)litter placement done 48 hours before the chicks.
Good litter material should be highly absorbent and 5-7 cm thick to prevent ingestion by the chicks.
Source disease free and strong chicks from a reliable hatchery.
The initial weight of the chicks must be checked and should be over 42 grams.
The development of the chicks during brooding will be determined by: proper temperature, air quality, litter management, disease control, and adequate water and feed.
Adequate ventilation is essential to reduce heat stress, removal of humidity, and disperse irritating gases i.e. ammonia, carbon dioxide. Poor ventilation will cause stress, respiratory diseases, reduce growth and increase mortality.
Temperature should be controlled throughout the cycle. The correct temperature at the starter phase is critical as it affects feed intake.
In the first week of life, chicks should multiply their weight approximately four and a half times their original weight by day 7. This will only be possible with a good brooding program that will ensure the comfort of the chicks and maximize feed intake.
Follow the vaccination program recommended by the hatchery.
Finishing Phase
Adequate ventilation, disease control with proper feed management regime will ensure optimum growth.
Clean drinking water is an essential nutrient for birds and critical for good broiler performance.
Randomly select birds and weigh them on a weekly basis to monitor flock performance.
Correct height of the feeders is of paramount importance to reduce spillage and ensuring all birds have equal access to the feed
practice all in all out method. After selling the birds rest the house and disinfect before start of a new production cycle.
